BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh Athletics has announced that the highly-anticipated wrestling dual meet between the ninth-ranked Mountain Hawks (10-0) and No. 15 Penn State Nittany Lions (4-2) will be televised live nationwide.  The telecast will be produced by Service Electric Cable Television and Lehigh Athletics, and can be seen live on Service Electric’s acclaimed 2 Sports outlet throughout the Lehigh Valley.  In addition, Lehigh has teamed with Fox College Sports to air the match live nationwide on Fox College Sports Pacific.

“This is a big rivalry match to ring in the New Year, and we’re happy to be able to deliver the action to our fans that are unable to make it to Centre County,” said Jeff Tourial, Lehigh’s Director of Broadcast & Multimedia.  “What better way to celebrate the 100th Season of Lehigh Wrestling than by bringing one of the most highly-anticipated duals to as many of our fans as possible?”

Lehigh wrestling fans with high-speed Internet access around the world can watch the action both live and on-demand at Lehighsports.com as part of the Yahoo! Sports College Broadcast package.  An industry leader in on-line broadcasts, Lehigh Athletics will make available over 200 events on its web site during the 2008-09 school year.

The Service Electric broadcast team of Doug Heater and Kyle Berger will broadcast the action.  That duo will be joined mat-side by Steve Lomangino, the radio voice of Lehigh wrestling, who will provide analysis and conduct interviews throughout the afternoon.

Service Electric is the Lehigh Valley’s largest cable television service provider.  Available in the nation’s top 25 markets, FCS is available in over 56 million homes throughout the United States.

Action is set to get underway at 1 p.m. EST from Rec Hall on the Penn State campus in State College, Pa.  The Mountain Hawks have won two of the last four meetings at Rec Hall, but Lehigh has not beaten Penn State since 2005.
