Bucknell enters Saturday’s contest on a three game winning streak. The Bison sport a 6-3 overall record, and Bucknell’s last three wins have come over La Salle, St. Francis (Pa.) and Georgetown; three of the four teams Lehigh has beaten this year. Bucknell captured three Patriot League weekly awards last week, as senior Kelly Hoffman was named Player of the Week, junior Amanda Faust was named Defensive Player of the Week, and sophomore Jessie Atieh was named Goalkeeper of the Week. The Bison have scored the most goals, and allowed the most goals in the Patriot League this season. Sophomore Megan Krebs leads Bucknell with six goals and 15 points.
Lehigh leads the all-time series 20-12-1, and holds a 9-8 advantage since the start of Patriot League play in 1990. Last year, the Mountain Hawks picked up their lone Patriot League win, 3-1 in Lewisburg with Kara Zweizig, Christy Smith and Morgan Christopher netting goals for the Brown and White.
Saturday’s game gets underway at 7 p.m. and will be broadcast online at Lehighsports.com, with streaming powered by Yahoo! Sports.
