HAMILTON, N.Y.- Lehigh dropped its second match in as many days, falling to Colgate 3-0 Saturday afternoon in Hamilton, N.Y.  The game scores were 30-14, 30-26 and 30-25. The Mountain Hawks fall to 3-10 on the season, and 0-2 in the Patriot League, while Colgate improves its record to 7-7 and 2-0 in conference play.

Despite the lopsided score in the first game, Lehigh was able to bounce back and play Colgate closely in its final two games of the match.  The Brown and White recorded 35 kills in the match, just 11 fewer than their counterparts; however, they committed 26 attack errors which allowed the Raiders to escape with the victory.

Lehigh was led on offense by sophomore Brittany Thurston, who hit .286 for the Mountain Hawks recording nine kills and ten digs.  Shannon Spafford led the team with 13 kills, while also recording nine digs and four total blocks.  Freshman Brittany Dickinson had another tremendous game at setter, recording 30 assists in the match.

The Raiders did not have a single player in double digit kills; however, a great all-around team effort gave Colgate the win.  Erin Kanetzke was one of three Raiders with nine kills, and she also hit a match high .571.  Jackie Adlam led Colgate with 19 digs, while Meghan Fanta recorded a match high 37 assists.

Lehigh returns to action on Friday September 28, when they travel down the road to Easton to take on archrival Lafayette.  The game is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
