Lehigh to battle tough Villanova squad Friday

Lehigh will face one of its toughest tests in its non-league schedule on Friday evening as the Villanova Wildcats visit the Ulrich Sports Complex. The Mountain Hawks (3-1) are undefeated at home and have won two straight games overall, including Sunday’s thrilling 2-1 overtime win over Michigan State, but Lehigh must contend with a Villanova team that is unbeaten on the season, and receiving votes in the latest NSCAA National poll.
Senior Melissa Montalvo scored off freshman Steph DeLuca’s centering feed in the 95th minute to give Lehigh its 2-1 win over Michigan State, arguably one of the biggest wins in program history.
