Lehigh ushers in the Brett Reed era on Saturday evening as the Mountain Hawks hit the hardwood for the 2007-08 season opener in
Lehigh always likes to play tough, hard-nosed defense and the numbers prove that when the Mountain Hawks do, they are successful. In its last 150 games, Lehigh is 49-14 when holding opponents to fewer than 60 points. That mark includes a record of 7-3 last season.
While Lehigh has always relied on its defense to win games, last year the Mountain Hawks “O” showed signs that it can be just as potent. Lehigh ranked in the top-three in the Patriot League in scoring offense for the first time in the last five years. The Mountain Hawks also scored 90 or more points in three games for the first time since 1991-92.
Saturday’s tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 pm from Newman Arena in
