Senior Melissa Montalvo gave Lehigh the lead just ten minutes into the contest, as she fired a long-distance shot that sailed just out of the reach of Holy Cross keeper Jessica Pietrowicz and into the back of the net for her second goal of the season.
The Lehigh lead lasted nearly 30 minutes, before Wright knocked in a crossing pass from Marielle Gonzales for her fourth goal of the season, to tie the game in the 39th minute.
Wright and Gonzales teamed up again with eleven minutes to play, and Wright pounced on another crossing pass and beat freshman Lauren Mains give the Crusaders the lead with her fifth goal of the season.
Lehigh out shot Holy Cross 23-13 and had the only five corner kicks of the match, but the Mountain Hawks were still unable to win their league opener for the first time since 2002, when Lehigh lost 2-0 to Army.
Junior Julie Kafka made five saves in goal for the Mountain Hawks, while Mains made one save in her 45 minutes of action. Pietrowicz stopped eleven shots for the Crusaders.
The Mountain Hawks will return to action on Friday when they welcome American to the Ulrich Sports Complex in their Patriot League home opener. Game time is set for 7 p.m., and the game will be broadcast online at Lehighsports.com with streaming provided by Yahoo! Sports.
