BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Despite three one-goal losses this past week a pair of Mountain Hawks were honored for their performance on the pitch, as the Patriot League handed out its weekly awards on Monday. Freshman forward Natalie Hojnacki was honored as the league’s Rookie of the Week, while senior Daniela Molina earned a Patriot League honorable mention for her outstanding start to the 2006 season.

Hojnacki celebrated her 18th birthday by netting a pair of goals in Lehigh’s 4-3 overtime loss against Saint Joseph’s on Tuesday. Her first goal tied the game at two just before halftime, and second gave the Mountain Hawks a second half lead. For her efforts, Hojnacki earned her first two career starts in the Mountain Hawks’ two contests in the Delaware Blue Hen Classic. She capped off a five-point week by notching her second career assist in Lehigh’s 2-1 loss to the Fightin’ Blue Hens of Delaware on Sunday.

The Williamsville, N.Y. native now has two goals and six points on the season, and now ranks as one of the top freshman point scorers in the Patriot League.

Molina received her first honorable mention from the league after scoring in all three of Lehigh’s contests last week to run her season total to six goals in six games. All three of Molina’s goals last week pulled the Mountain Hawks even on the scoreboard. She currently leads the Patriot League with six goals and 12 points, and has already established a career high for goals in a season.

Lehigh will look to get back on the winning track when the Mountain Hawks host Monmouth Friday night. Game time is set for 7:00 and will be broadcast online at lehighsports.com with streaming video and audio powered by Yahoo! Sports.
