PHILADELPHIA – Temple University swept the Mountain Hawks in three straight sets in the season opening match for Lehigh. Temple defeated Lehigh by scores of 30-12, 30-18 and 30-16. Temple was powered by Yue Liu who recorded game-highs in kills and blocks as she recorded 15 and three, respectively. Liu’s five service aces was just one behind teammate Patricia Vernon’s game-high of six. Yan Liu and Katrina Mullins each recorded a team-high of six kills.
The Mountain Hawks return to action tomorrow as they compete in the final two games of the Temple University Classic. Their morning match will be at 10:00 against Cleveland State while the afternoon match is set for 3:00.
