BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh Athletics has accepted the decision made by the Patriot League with regards to forfeiting 12 regular season games and a Patriot League tournament game from the 2004-05 season.  Additionally, among other things, the 2004-05 Presidents’ Cup standings will be adjusted to reflect the change in the men’s basketball standings.

"Lehigh accepts the league's decision regarding our proposed forfeitures and the official records of our 2004-05 season,” said Lehigh Dean of Athletics Joe Sterrett.

Lehigh volunteered to forfeit such games after the NCAA ruled that the Mountain Hawks used an ineligible player for all but one game that year.  The 2004-05 team record for Lehigh will be listed as 1-28.  However, all individual statistics and records, and all team statistics for that season, will stand.

The graduation rates of Lehigh’s student-athletes consistently rank among the nation’s highest.  Lehigh University is a founding member of the Patriot League.
