Borowsky places third, Lehigh finishes sixth

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Behind a three round score of 219 from senior Alan Borowsky, Lehigh placed sixth in the 18-team Yale Invitational this weekend.  Borowsky finished in a tie for third place, just four shots away from the top spot, which Birmingham Southern’s Robert Lindstrom took with a 215.  The team champion was Binghamton, with a score of 904, followed by Penn, Seton Hall, Connecticut, Sacred Heart and the Mountain Hawks.

 

Other finishers for the Brown and White was Matt Denison, who placed in tie for 23rd place, as he shot a 231, Will Robinson (39 – 240), Steve Suarez (T40 – 240), and Shane Gilroy (T63 – 245).  

 

The Mountain Hawks will return to action this weekend when they host the annual Don Mershon Classic at Indian Valley Country Club.  The event will get underway on Sunday, October 15 and wrap up on Monday, the 16.
