ITHACA, N.Y. – Lehigh junior Alan Borowsky shot a 226 over two days to lead the Mountain Hawks at the Cornell Invitational, held at the par 72 Robert Trent Jones Golf Course on Saturday and Sunday. The Mountain Hawks shot a 926 as a team to finish tenth in the 15-team event. Saint Joseph’s posted a total of 881 to win the invitational, as the Hawks finished 22 strokes better than second place Niagara.

Saint Joseph’s Billy Stewart shot a four-under par 212 to win the event by four strokes over Cornell’s Bobby Fritz.

For Lehigh, Borowsky led the way with his ten-over par 226, good for a tenth place finish overall. Elsewhere for the Mountain Hawks, senior captain Nam Park (76-75-80-231), freshman Greg Feldman (80-70-81-231), and freshman Will Robinson (81-77-84-242) rounded out the Lehigh scoring. Feldman’s two-under par 70 in the second round was the best individual round for Lehigh in the tournament.

Lehigh returns to the links in two weeks, as the Mountain Hawks host the annual Don Mershon Classic at Indian Valley Country Club in Telford, Pa. on October 9-10.
