Mountain Hawks top Morgan State for third straight win

The Bears gave Lehigh a good battle, especially in game one, where the Mountain Hawks needed overtime to grab a 31-29 victory.
Offensively, the Mountain Hawks put forth one of their best statistical outputs of the season. Michelle Schwendenmann had a season-high 21 kills and a .372 hitting percentage to lead Lehigh. The junior outside hitter also added four service aces, and six digs on the defensive end.
Schwendenmann was helped out by sophomore middle blocker Shannon Spafford who had a career high 14 kills and .308 hitting percentage. Kathleen Lafferty had another strong afternoon of setting, with 49 assists. Defensively, the Mountain Hawks were credited with 62 digs, nearly a third of them by junior Cassidy Maumus who tallied a season high 20. Morgan Volkart chipped in with nine digs and Nikky Barnes added eight for the Brown and White.
