No. 8 Lehigh set for first EIWA clash against Rutgers

The first in-season rankings from the NWCA and Intermat were released earlier this week and the Mountain Hawks head into Sunday’s match with seven wrestlers nationally ranked. Sophomore Jeff Santo and Junior Matt Cassidy enter the top 20 in their respective weights based on impressive performances in the Mountain Hawks last dual, a 29-7 win over Lehigh has established itself as the dominant team in the EIWA, with 33 team championships including the last four in a row. The Mountain Hawks have built an impressive winning streak against EIWA foes, winning their last 22 conference duals. The last EIWA school to defeat Lehigh in dual competition was Penn, who did so by a 21-12 score at the Palestra on February 24, 2002.
