Lehigh beaten by Virginia Tech at Hokie Fall Invite

Blacksburg, VA – The Mountain Hawks dropped their second consecutive game at the Hokie Fall Invite falling 3-0 to host Virginia Tech Saturday morning. Game scores were 30-24, 30-14 and 30-9. Lehigh falls to 0-3 on the season while the Hokies improve to 2-1.

 

Michelle Schwendenmann led the Mountain Hawks with six kills, Jill Racketa added five. Kathleen Lafferty recorded 13 assists and defensively Cassidy Maumus had nine digs.

 

Virginia Tech was lead by Katie Esbrook’s 10 kills and Melissa Markowski’s 32 assists.

 

Lehigh will play its third and final match in the Hokie Fall Invite Saturday at 5:00 PM against Appalachian State.
