The Mountain Hawks open up their 2004 Patriot League schedule Saturday as they welcome the Black Knights of Army to the Ulrich Sports Complex. Lehigh was originally scheduled to open up conference play against Lafayette last Saturday but the game was postponed due to heavy rain and wind in the Lehigh Valley.

Mountain Hawks improved to 4-4 on the season after defeating Monmouth 1-0, Tuesday night at the Ulrich Sports Complex. Sophomore Gina Lewandowski scored the game’s only goal, her fifth of the season. It was the 17th career goal for the Coopersburg, Pa. native, tying her for second all-time on the Lehigh goal scoring list.

Tonight’s game is also the Black Knight’s Patriot Leage opener. Army comes in 2-7-0 on the season after dropping their last match 4-1 to Rider Tuesday night. Junior Leigh Kosco leads the Black Knights with four goals.

Last year these two teams met at West Point with Army prevailing 3-2 in overtime.

Saturday’s game gets underway at 7:00 and will be broadcast on the web at lehighsports.com
