Lehigh-Lafayette battles washed away by rain

Bethlehem, PA – Saturday night’s soccer match between Lehigh and arch-rival Lafayette in Easton has been postponed due to heavy rains and flooding. No make-up date has been announced.

The game was to be the Patriot League opener for both teams, but the remnants of Hurricane Ivan brought heavy rains and widespread flooding to the Lehigh Valley.

Earlier Saturday, the Lehigh-Lafayette dual cross country meet was postponed due to the inclement weather. The meet will now get underway at 10:00 on Sunday on the Goodman cross country course.

The Lehigh women return to action Tuesday night at the Ulrich Sports Complex against Monmouth. Game time set for 7:00.
