Mountain Hawks honored for academic prowess

To be eligible for the NSCAA/Adidas academic team award, a team had to have a grade point average of 3.0 or above for the 2003-04 academic year. In addition to this academic honor, seniors Erin Iwaskiewicz and Shannon Trexler were named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District II team last month.
On the field, the 2004 season was the most successful in Lehigh history. The Mountain Hawks finished with a 12-8-0 record, setting a school record for wins in a season and advanced all the way to the Patriot League Championship Game. Lehigh brought home three of the Patriot League’s major post season awards, as sophomore Gina Lewandowski was named Offensive Player of the year, Iwaskiewicz was named Goalkeeper of the Year and Oudin was honored as Coach of the Year.
