Mountain Hawks come up short against Army

Game one was as close as they come. Lehigh played the Patriot League’s number two team tight, but ultimately fell 30-28. Game two was more of the same, as the Black Knights were able to muster a few more points late and win 30-25.
The Mountain Hawks battled back from a 2-0 deficit, and hung on to win game three 30-27, but Lehigh was unable to keep momentum in the fourth game as they fell 30-22.
“They’re the number two team in the Patriot League, we’re relatively young and inexperienced,” said Coach Amanda Moran.
“We hung right there with them, with a little more experience things could have been different.”
Michelle Schwendenmann once again led the Mountain Hawks with 23 kills. Jill Racketa chipped in with 19 kills. Defensively Nikky Barnes led the way with 14 digs. Caitlin Machon led Army with 18 kills.
