Bethlehem, PA – The Patriot League announced its 2004 All-League teams on Wednesday and three Mountain Hawks were honored for their play this season.  Seniors Sheila Clabby and Krista Jamieson were named to the First-Team, while junior Mary Beth Kuenne was honored as a second team selection.  This is the first time that any of these players have been named to the All-Patriot League teams in their careers.

Clabby had a phenomenal senior season for the Mountain Hawks, scoring eight goals and handing out two assists, good for 18 points, second best on the team.  Clabby also scored four game-winning goals on the year, which led Lehigh and was second in all of the Patriot League.  Clabby started all 18 games for the Mountain Hawks and was second on the team with 45 shots.

Jamieson returned from an injury this year to become one of the most consistent performers on the team in 2004.  Jamieson handed out nine assists this year, tops on the team, and started all 18 games for Lehigh.  She dished out two assists in one game on two separate occasions and ranked second in the Patriot League with an average of 0.50 assists per game.

Kuenne came on strong in the second half of the season to lead Lehigh in goals with nine and points with 19.  The New Jersey native also led the Mountain Hawks in shots with 61 and had one game-winning goal as well.  The highlight of Kuenne’s season was when she scored three goals at Bucknell in late October to lift the Brown and White to a 6-4 win over the Bison, the first Patriot League game Lehigh had won since October 18, 2001.

Lehigh returns to action on Saturday morning when the Mountain Hawks take on top-seeded American in the 2004 Patriot League Tournament.  The game is scheduled to begin at 11am and all of the action can be heard live on Lehigh’s website at lehighsports.com.  The tournament is being played in Hamilton, New York on the campus of Colgate University.
