Mountain Hawks tenth at Joe Agee Invitational

New Kent, VA – Lehigh shot a 922 as a team to finish in a tenth place tie at the Joe Agee Invitational on October 4-5.  Rutgers posted a seven-over-par 871 to win the event, which took place at the Royal New Kent Golf Course.  The tournament was hosted by William & Mary, who finished second overall.

 

Individually, the Mountain Hawks were led by the play of sophomore Alan Borowsky, who shot a 224 overall (71-74-79) to finish in a tie for 16th place.  Teammates Jason Moloney and John Jaravata were next in the scoring column, as both Moloney (75-76-78) and and Jaravata (76-72-81) each posted a 229.  Senior Patrick McCahill (79-80-81-240) was tied for 69th in the event, to round out the Lehigh scoring.  Junior Ben Rodney (81-85-88-254) also competed over the weekend for the Mountain Hawks. 

 

Towson’s Alex Brueggemann captured individual medalist honors, by shooting a 214.  His two-under-par score was one stroke better than teammate Jeff Castle and William & Mary’s Tim Pemberton, who each finished with a 215.

 

Lehigh resumes fall competition on Sunday when the Mountain Hawks play host to the two-day Don Mershon Classic at Indian Valley CC in Telford, Pa.
