Lehigh came out strong in game one, building a 21-15 lead which became 29-23.
Game two was a back and forth affair, with the Leopards pulling away in the end. In game three the Mountain Hawks dug themselves a 22-14, before climbing back and ultimately losing by seven. Down four in the fourth game, the Mountain Hawks rallied to take a lead and had several game point opportunities but were unable to capitalize.
“This was probably the best game we played all year in terms of consistency,” said coach Amanda Moran. “We dug ourselves a few holes and fought back, it really could have gone either way.”
Four Mountain Hawks totaled double digit kills in the match, led by Michelle Schwendenmann’s 18. Defensively four players recorded double digit digs. Senior Jill Racketa had a season-high 23 digs to go with her 12 kills.
Veronica Canto-Ponce led
