Mountain Hawks fall 3-0 at Bucknell

Lewisburg, PA – Lehigh gave Bucknell three close games Friday night, but came up on the short end of all three, as the Mountain Hawks dropped their eighth consecutive match 3-0 at Davis Gym. Game scores were 30-24, 30-26, 30-27 as the Brown and White fall to 2-18 on the season, 1-8 in the Patriot League. Bucknell is 12-9, 6-3 in the Patriot League.
The Mountain Hawks hung tough throughout, as they were able to keep each game within six points. Lehigh's strongest effort was in game two, where the Mountain Hawks posted a .389 hitting percentage and 18 kills.
Michelle Schwendenmann led the Mountain Hawks with 14 kills and 12 digs. The sophomore outside hitter was the only Lehigh player to record double figures in those two categories.
Jackie Leahy led the Bison with 15 kills and 14 digs.
The Mountain Hawks look to turn things around Saturday night when they visit Colgate. First serve set for 7:00 from Hamilton, N.Y. Lehigh won the first meeting this season, 3-1 back on October 1 at Leeman-Turner Arena.
