Lehigh rallies to top Ohio University

Lehigh won its second match of the day at the Sheridan Duals as it defeated Ohio University 23-13. The win improved Lehigh’s record to 3-1 while Ohio University dropped to 0-2. The match was only the second meeting ever between the two schools. Last season, Lehigh defeated Ohio 35-6.
Sophomore Mario Stuart continued to shine turning his former 2-4 record around and now stands at 4-4. Stuart recorded the only pin of the match in 3:52 over Mike Caruso. Chris Vitale earned Lehigh’s first win of the match notching a 19-7 major decision over Ohio’s Tommy DeAnna. Senior captain Rob Rohn re-entered the Brown and White’s lineup and recorded a 15-6 major decision win over Mark Shrout. James Moore made his first appearance of the afternoon to earn a 6-1 decision over the Bobcats’ Matt Reid.
In other action, Ohio State discarded Rutgers 33-4, and Lock Haven topped Rider 25-13.
Twelfth ranked Lehigh will take on seventh ranked Ohio State in the final match of the day at 2:00 p.m.
