Bethlehem, PA – Lehigh senior Matt Logie has completed his first week of professional basketball with the Pennsylvania ValleyDawgs of the United States Basketball League. Logie’s team, which is fronted by former Philadelphia 76’er "Chocolate Thunder" Darryl Dawkins, has gone 2-2 over their first four games.

Logie is in somewhat of an unfamiliar role as he has come off the bench in all four contests. He is averaging between 12-15 and 6.7 points per game, while shooting 43% from three-point land.

"I enjoy playing on this team because it provides me with valuable playing experience," said Logie. "I have a chance to see how I stack up against players who previously competed at a higher level."

Logie also feels like he has found a spot on this team due in part to his ability to hit the perimeter jump shot.

"It’s nice to be counted out as an outside threat," added Logie. "Quincy (Wadley) is probably the only other true outside player we have so it gives me a chance to show coach Dawkins what I can do."

As for playing for such a famous coach, Logie describes it as "fun," adding that "Coach Dawkins is very competitive and it makes us all work harder."
