Logie to play professionally with ValleyDawgs

Bethlehem, PA – Lehigh standout Matt Logie will continue his basketball career much closer to the Lehigh Valley than most would expect. Logie will again play ball in Stabler Arena, but this time as a member of the USBL’s Pennsylvania ValleyDawgs. The senior from Mercer Island, Washington was drafted by the ’Dawgs on Tuesday in the second round of the annual draft. Logie completed a stellar career at Lehigh, where he scored 1, 524 points, was seventh all-time in three point field goals made, and finished first all-time in Patriot League free throw percentage. "Logie has a better chance than former Lehigh player Brett Eppehimer had," said ValleyDawgs head coach Darryl Dawkins. "Logie can create his own shot and is a better long range shooter. He just wants to play with here with who is here and doesn’t want to come here and try to be the man." Logie and his ValleyDawgs teammates will open their 2003 season on April 19th on the road vs. Westchester. The ‘Dawgs home opener will be April 27th at Stabler Arena vs. the Texas Rim Rockers. Game time is 7:00 p.m. For more information, visit the Pennsylvania ValleyDawgs website at
