Bethlehem, PA – Junior Blaire Goodwin was selected to the STX/NFCA Mideast Region second team. Goodwin was the only Lehigh player selected to either the first or second teams.
A forward, Goodwin scored nine of Lehigh’s 20 goals and 18 of the team’s 53 points, finishing in the Patriot League’s top 10 in both goals and points. She has now scored 15 goals in her career, tying her for eleventh on the school’s scoring list. The single season output of nine is also the eighth most ever for a Lehigh player. Her 18 points in 2002 were twice as many as the Mountain Hawks second leading scorer, freshman Maureen Harrington.
"Blaire was our leading scoring threat all season," head coach Michelle Finegan said. "She has been a major contributor to our offense and really emerged here in her junior season."
Goodwin was also selected to the All-Patriot League second team, along with teammate Jenna Walsh.
Lehigh finished its season with a record of 4-13 overall, and 0-6 in the Patriot League.
