Lehigh looks for its third consecutive win when the Mountain Hawks travel to New York to take on Columbia. Lehigh is coming off of an impressive 88-79 victory over Harvard on Saturday evening. Lehigh’s guards dominated the game throughout, as they shot the ball well, distributed it to the right people, and played solid defense. Freshman Jose Olivero scored a career high 24 points, as he hit nine of ten fouls shots, to lead Lehigh. Seniors Austen Rowland and Ra Tiah hit for 14 and 16 points respectively, and between the two, stole the ball five times and dished out seven assists. Columbia welcomes Lehigh into Levien Gym looking for its second win of the season following a heartbreaking 58-55 defeat at the hands of the Hofstra Pride on Saturday. Carlos Rivera hit a three-pointer at the buzzer to sink the Lions. Junior Matt Preston is the Lions leading scorer, hitting for just over 17 points per contest. The Mountain Hawks defeated Columbia last season by a score of 67-51 in Bethlehem. The Lions won the season before 53-47. Monday’s tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 from Lehigh’s Stabler Arena. The game can be heard live on WKAP-AM (1470) in the Lehigh Valley, and around the world on the Internet at Lehighsports.com.
