Olivero chalks up another award

Jose Olivero has been named the Patriot League Freshman of the Week for the second consecutive week, it was announced on Monday. Olivero scored 23 points in the Mountain Hawks lone game last week, including the game-winning three-pointer with seven seconds remaining as Lehigh defeated Columbia 60-57. Olivero scored ten consecutive points at one juncture of the second half to bring the Mountain Hawks back from an eleven point deficit and lead them to victory.
On the season, Olivero is now averaging 13.0 points on the season, which leads the team, and is shooting a team-leading 89% (23-26) from the foul stripe. He has led the team in scoring the past four games, coming into Wednesday night’s game versus Del Val. Jose is the first Mountain Hawks to receive a Patriot League award this season.
