The Mountain Hawks wrapped up the winningest season in Lehigh history Saturday afternoon, beating the visiting Holy Cross Crusaders 1-0 at the Ulrich Sports Complex on Senior Day. Lehigh scored near the end of the first half to take the advantage, and held off a tough Holy Cross team in the second half to earn their ninth win on the season. Freshman Gina Lewandowski did the scoring for Lehigh ( Head Coach Manny Oudin said the emotions of the day ran high for his team. “They definitely came out charged up, and I think it was tough for us to get settled down,” said Oudin. “Gina’s goal put us up, but we just couldn’t add to it. We definitely made it tougher on ourselves than it needed to be.” Before the game, Lehigh honored its three seniors Lauren Rybas, Adrienne Grunwald, and Anne Johnson. All three started the game, and will finish their careers on only the second Mountain Hawk team in history to finish at .500. “I think we can look back on a really positive season,” said coach Oudin, “We took a real step forward, and we are very excited looking towards next year.”
