Lehigh men finish in tie for third at Cornell

Ithaca, NY – Junior Patrick McCahill shot a 148 over two days, leading Lehigh to a third place tie at the Cornell Invitational on Saturday and Sunday. McCahill finished just five strokes behind individual winner Dan McCarthy (LeMoyne), who shot a 143 to take medallist honors. As a team, the Mountain Hawks shot a 610 over the two days, just eight shots behind overall winner Binghamton.
      McCahill shot a three-over-par 75 on Saturday, and followed that up with a one-over 73 on Sunday to pace Lehigh. Freshman Will Weihenmayer was an even par 72 on Saturday, and he shot a 78 on Sunday to finish in a seventh place tie with a 150. Teammate Alan Borowsky finished 16th overall with a 154, and Nam Park posted a 158 to round out the Lehigh scoring.
      The Mountain Hawks return to the links on October 4, when Lehigh participates in the Temple Invitational.
