”I told them to ride her till the end, and they listened,” said Nicholas. “But I a lot of people played well. (Morgan) Volkart played well, (Jill) Racketa was great with her passing and defense, and I thought Dominique Barnes responded well after not playing against Colgate. But Singleton certainly showed why she was first-team All-League last year.” Both teams came in with the exact same records, and had beaten (Navy and Colgate) and lost (American and Bucknell) to the exact same teams. Freshman setter Allison Jack, who leads the Patriot League in assists, totaled 51 on the night for the Mountain Hawks for an average of almost 13 per game. Rebecca Gawronski chipped in with 12 kills, and Jill Kober had 15 digs to help the winning effort. Army (10-9, 2-3) was led by Caitlin Machon and Eileen Cassidy, with 14 and 13 kills respectively.
