Cleveland, OH- For the second straight day, the Lehigh volleyball team won one and lost one at the Cleveland State Invitational. After beating Oakland 3-1 in their first match of the day, the Mountain Hawks (4-6, 0-0) lost in three straight to host Cleveland State.

In the first match, senior co-captain Jeanette Singleton put on a show, getting 22 kills to go along with a season-high 21 digs.  Michelle Schwendenmann had double digit kills for the second time at the tournament as she notched fourteen.  It was a strong defensive effort for the Mountain Hawks, as senior libero Jill Kober had a season-high 20 digs as well.

In the last match of the tournament, the home team Cleveland State (9-3) was too much for Lehigh, as they held every Mountain Hawk to below double digits in kills and digs. Schwendenmann led Lehigh with 6 kills, and Singleton and Kober had 8 digs apiece in a losing cause.

The Mountain Hawks finished the tournament 2-2. For the second straight weekend, Singleton was named to the All-Tournament team after making it last week at the Rider Cranberry Classic.  The Mountain Hawks will return to action on Wednesday as they travel to Teaneck, NJ, to take on Fairleigh Dickinson.
