Kate Marvel enters her second season as an administrative assistant with the Lehigh softball program. She will be responsible for a variety of office-relate responsibilities and will assist with the staging of home events.
One of the most accomplished softball players in school and Patriot League history, Marvel was a four year starter in centerfield for the Mountain Hawks and a four time first team All-Patriot League selection. In 2007, Marvel led the nation in triples per game and was named the Patriot League Player of the Year. She was a three-time NFCA Mid-Atlantic All-Region selection and played on three Lehigh teams that participated in the NCAA tournament. Marvel was recognized with the Lehigh Athletics Department’s Graduating Female Athlete Award in 2008.
In addition to her prowess on the field, Marvel was a top performer in the classroom as well, Marvel was a three-time Academic All-District selection, and the 2006 Patriot League Scholar-Athlete of the Year for softball.
A native of Manasquan, N.J., Marvel graduated from Lehigh in 2008 with a degree in religion studies. She is currently pursuing her Master’s in Elementary Education and a certification in Special Education at Lehigh.
