Steve Lomangino is in his 22nd year at Lehigh and his 11th as Director of Sports Communications. He oversees the communications efforts for all 26 of Lehigh's varsity sports and also manages the department's multimedia operation. Lomangino spent five years as Media Relations Director prior to his promotion in August 2015. He serves as the primary contact for Lehigh's football, wrestling, softball and men's and women's golf teams.
Lomangino originally came to Lehigh as a media relations assistant in August 2004 and was promoted to Assistant Media Relations Director in July 2006. Since arriving at Lehigh, Lomangino has served as the primary contact for Lehigh’s nationally-ranked wrestling program and in March 2012 was recognized as the National Wrestling Media Association’s SID/Publicist of the Year.

In 15 seasons working with Lehigh’s football program, the Mountain Hawks have captured five Patriot League titles. Lomangino coordinated media relations efforts for eight FCS playoff games, the 150th meeting of The Rivalry at Yankee Stadium, and promoted 11 student-athletes who were recognized as All-Americans, plus one finalist for the Walter Payton Award and Lehigh’s first NFL draftee since 1995.

In addition to his media relations duties, Lomangino carries an extensive broadcasting background. He serves as the radio voice of Lehigh Wrestling on Fox Sports Radio 94.7 FM and 1230 AM and continues to handle play-by-play duties for a number of Lehigh sports including soccer, lacrosse, baseball, softball and field hockey. Lomangino has also added commentary to Lehigh football and basketball broadcasts, and has served as producer for Lehigh radio broadcasts and the popular Lehigh Sports Magazine television show.

A native of Whitestone, N.Y., Lomangino graduated with a degree in broadcast journalism from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University in 2004.

Lomangino resides in Hellertown with his wife Meghan and sons Vincent, James and Luke.
