Ryan Lazev joins Lehigh as a Sports Communications Graduate Assistant for the 2025-2026 school year. He serves as the primary contact for cross country, track and field, and swimming and diving. Along with this position, he is completing his Master’s in Management at Lehigh as a graduate student.
The Glen Rock, N.J. native comes to Bethlehem by way of the University of Delaware. He graduated in 2024 with a Bachelors of Arts in Communications with a media concentration, and a minor in Psychology.
Lazev comes from an athletic background, as he competed as a member of Delaware’s club Cross Country and Track & Field team. He also honed his skills for his current position in this organization, serving first as the team’s webmaster, then ultimately as its President.
During his time as a Blue Hen, Lazev was involved in the sports media space as well. He served as a color commentator for Delaware’s basketball and football games for the school’s student radio station, 91.3 WVUD. He was also a frequent guest on the station’s sports radio show, Blue Hen Sports Cage, as well as University of Delaware’s top sports broadcast network, Hens Sports Night.
