Gabriel Woffindin joined the Lehigh volleyball coaching staff as an assistant in the spring of 2024.
Woffindin is a graduate of Saint Francis University, where he played volleyball from 2015-2020. He was a four-year starter as a libero and recorded numerous accolades, including three EIVA Defensive Player of the Week nods, a Second Team All-EIVA selection in 2017, second all-time dig leader in program history, and was top-five in the conference in digs per set in all four years starting.
Woffindin most recently worked as Assistant Club Director & Recruiting Coordinator for Club Savannah Volleyball in Savannah, Georgia, a position he held since 2021. There, he created and implemented practice plans for over 35 different teams.Â
While serving as the liaison between the directors and coaching staff, he was the master coach for every team and was responsible for tryouts. He was the head coach of the 17/18 Mizuno National Team and created summer camp and fall programming across various positions and skill levels.
From 2020 to 2021, he was the head volleyball coach at Spooky Nook Sports in Lancaster, Pa. There, he coached the U-15 National Level Team and provided private lessons in passing and defense.Â
At Saint Francis, Woffindin received a bachelor of science in management, graduating cum laude in May 2019. He received his master’s of business administration with a concentration in leadership from Saint Francis in 2020. He is also no stranger to the Lehigh Valley, as Woffindin is originally from Allentown, Pa.
