In his role as video coordinator for Lehigh men's basketball, Harry Morra is responsible for advanced scouting and film breakdown for the Mountain Hawks. His primary role is to prepare film for head coach Brett Reed and his assistant coaches, so they can monitor the team and individual player's progress. Mora is also responsible for prepping film for upcoming opponents throughout the season.
Since 2009, Harry Morra has been an assistant men’s basketball coach at DeSales University. Over the past nine years, DeSales has garnered an overall record of 195-65, tied for ninth in wins among more than 400 NCAA Division III institutions sponsoring men's basketball over that time frame. In 2009, DSU played in the DIII Elite 8 and in 2010, the DII Sweet 16 under the direction of head coach Scott Coval.
In January 2009, Morra returned from overseas where he spent one season as a shooting guard and one season as an assistant coach for Belfast Star of the Sea, one of 12 teams in the Irish Superleague. The opportunity to be a part of Star of the Sea came as a result of Morra’s non-profit work with PeacePlayers International, a sport (basketball) for good organization addressing conflict in Northern Ireland, South Africa, Cyprus and the Middle East. Morra spent time in South Africa and Northern Ireland from 2007 to 2009, winning a Eurobasket Championship in France and competing in the Emerald Isle Classic with Notre Dame University, Ireland, Iceland and Poland.
Prior to being overseas, Morra spent one season as an assistant coach at Phillipsburg High School, helping them improve from two to 13 wins in just one year, winning a Skyland Conference Championship and advancing to the first round of the NJSIAA state playoffs.
Morra has also worked multiple camps since his graduation from DeSales including ones at Duke, Villanova, Lehigh, East Stroudsburg, DeSales and Basketball City (Boston).
A native of Phillipsburg, N.J., Morra graduated from DeSales in 2004 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics. He played four years for the Bulldogs.
Morra resides in Bethlehem, Pa. with his fiancé, Kelly Lyons, and is a full-time graduate student at Lehigh’s College of Education.
