BEFORE LEHIGH
Addesa moved to the United States by way of Monza, Italy to pursue his dream of playing Division-I basketball. He attended Perkiomen School in Pennsburg, Pennsylvania, where he was a back-to-back PAISAA state champion in 2023 and 2024. Prior to his time at Perkiomen, Addesa attended Doane Academy in New Jersey, where he won an NJISAA B Division championship in 2021-22. Addesa was named the second team All-EPL and was an All-PBT tournament team selection during his high school career. In addition, he was also an accomplished track and field athlete, placing first in the PJAA shot put and second place in the PJAA javelin in 2023.
COACH REED ON ADDESA
"We are pleased to have Alfredo join our program," said Reed. "He is a skilled big who can play inside as well as on the perimeter. Having a 6'10 player on the court who has the size to score with his back to the basket, get offensive rebound put backs, and shoot well is valuable. His skill level will enhance our offensive spacing and versatility. He is a passionate young man who wants to excel in basketball. He has made significant sacrifices to pursue his love of the game by coming to the United States from Italy. I am pleased he could recognize the incredible opportunity Lehigh provides academically as well as athletically."
