As a freshman…appeared in all 28 matches and 96 sets…led the team with .64 blocks per set...ranked first on the team with 14 solo blocks…had 321 season kills…In high school … was a varsity co captain .. named NDP Booster Club Player of the Month in September 2007 … named Black Canyon Region 4A first team, 4A-II second team All State, Arizona Republic All State second team, East Valley Tribune second team All State, and 4A-II second team All-Arizona Team by Arizona Varsity (all her senior year).
Why Lehigh? “I chose Lehigh because of the balance between challenging academics and competitive athletics, as well as the valuable opportunity to contribute to the volleyball program early on..”
What would you tell an incoming recruit about your coach?
“Coach Maurer is honest and will challenge her players to become better on and off the court. I would tell an incoming recruit that Coach Maurer and Coach Refenes are extremely dedicated and will go to great lengths to make sure the team succeeds.”
What does it mean to be a part of the Lehigh student-athlete experience?
“To be a part of the Lehigh student-athlete experience means you represent the school not only while on campus but 24/7. It means keeping up in the classroom and treating others with respect both in the classroom and on the court. It also means challenging yourself in practices and games and representing Lehigh in a positive manner.
