As a freshman…appeared in 24 matches…led the team with a hitting percentage of 1.82…ranked second on the team in .57 blocks per set…had 37 season digs… In high school … was co captain senior year, receiving the Captain’s Award … named second team All Sunset League … was selected as the Most Improved Varsity Athlete on the Division I-AA CIF Champions as a sophomore.

Why Lehigh? “Out of all the schools I was looking at, Lehigh was the one where I felt most at home. I never believe that walking onto a certain campus would give you “the feeling” until I stepped onto Lehigh’s beautiful campus. I also wanted to be able to balance volleyball and academics, and Lehigh has the perfect balance for me. I just fell in love with it.”

What would you tell an incoming recruit about your coach?

“When I first met Coach Maurer, I thought she was just awesome. She’s competitive and has very positive and uplifting attitude towards volleyball and life in general. I immediately felt comfortable talking to both her and Coach Refenes, which is an extremely important quality for a coach to have.”

What does it mean to be a part of the Lehigh student-athlete experience?

“I think that being a part of the Lehigh student-athlete experience is going to be a major part of my life in college and I am looking forward to spreading the word about our games, getting as many people to come as possible, as well as going to other sporting events and supporting our other athletes, like one big family! GO MOUNTAIN HAWKS!”
