BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Junior captain Nasir Whitlock has been named a finalist for the 2025-26 Lou Henson Award, which is presented annually to the top mid-major player in college basketball.
The Skip Prosser Man of the Year award honors those who not only achieve success on the basketball court but who display moral integrity on and off it as well.
The Lou Henson award honors the former Illinois and New Mexico State head coach who won 775 games in 41 seasons. The recipient of the annual award is determined by a 10-member voting committee, which consists of current and former head coaches, as well as two senior staff members of Collegeinsider.com.
Whitlock has had a sensational season for the Mountain Hawks, averaging a Patriot League best 21.0 points per game on an efficient 47.6% from the floor and 44.5% from three. The first team All-Patriot League selection guided second-seeded Lehigh to its fourth overall Patriot League championship on Wednesday and was named Tournament MVP in the process.
The 2026 award will be announced in Indianapolis, IN, site of the men's Division I Basketball Championship.
