D1 Wins First Shootout Game Against Rutgers 4-3

Rutgers came to town Friday night, giving Lehigh D1 their first D1 game of the season. The Mountain Hawks needed a shootout to break the tie during regulation and overtime, but came out with a 4-3 win. Devin Gosciak added his second tally of the year, while Nikolas Cadoret and Jesse Heinberg netted their first goals of the season. Matthew Nacinovich and Connor Wohlfahrt both scored in their first collegiate shootout attempts, while Jacob Brown shut the door in net on both of Rutgers' attempts to get his second win of the young season. The team will return to action next weekend with a home and home against TCNJ.
