BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh men's basketball head coach Brett Reed has announced the addition of Luke Yoder to his coaching staff ahead of the 2025-26 season. Yoder will serve as the new Director of Basketball Operations.
"We are excited to have Luke Yoder join our program," said Reed. "We were very pleased with the performance of his predecessor Trent Fitzpatrick who has taken a head high school coaching position in his home state of Iowa. Luke should pick up right where Trent left off. Luke is a knowledgeable and hungry young coach. He comes extremely highly recommended from all the coaches he has either played for or worked for in high school and college. I believe he will do a great job in supporting our program and helping us pursue our championship aspirations."
Yoder most recently served as the head men's basketball manager at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia.
"I'm incredibly thankful for this opportunity and truly excited to work with Coach Reed and his staff at Lehigh," said Yoder. "I look forward to serving others, contributing to the team in any way I can, while continuing to learn and grow. I'm excited to support others in their personal journeys and help them achieve their goals."
While at Liberty, Yoder dipped his toes into many facets of coaching, including but not limited to video organization, recruiting trips, nutrition, scheduling and enhancing player skills. Yoder also worked as a camp counselor at Liberty men's basketball camps during his time as head manager.
Originally from Dublin, Pennsylvania, Yoder has worked as a camp manager at Deep Run Valley Sports Association since 2017, coordinating daily operations and activities for sports camps. In addition, Yoder has provided one-on-one mentorship on personal, academic and social issues as a volunteer small group leader with YoungLife Bucks County.
Yoder graduated from Liberty in 2025 with a degree in business administration/supply chain management with a minor in sports management.
