BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Lehigh women's basketball head coach Addie Micir announced on Thursday that associate coach Kait Cresencia has been promoted to associate head coach.
"I'm really happy for Kait as she's worked tirelessly and selflessly to serve our program over the past several years," Micir said. "Kait exemplifies the WE and it shows through her level of care not only within our program, but through her commitment to serving Lehigh Athletics and the university as a whole. She has excelled at a variety of roles, willing to do the small and big things to help make us great. We are thrilled for her to serve as our associate head coach as we chase down our goal of a Patriot League Championship."
Cresencia enters her third season on the Mountain Hawks staff in 2024-25. During her two seasons at Lehigh, she has helped lead the Mountain Hawks to 17 wins in back-to-back seasons. She also mentored the 2023 Patriot League Player of the Year Frannie Hottinger. Hottinger was the first Lehigh player to win the award since Erica Prosser last earned the honors in 2011.Â
"I would like to thank coach Micir and our administration at Lehigh for this recognition as well as their investment into my development here over the past two years," Cresencia said. "When you align with the mission of an institution, as well as the mission of your head coach, it makes for a truly meaningful, impactful, and enjoyable experience. I'm excited to continue to educate, empower, and develop future leaders within our program in this new role, and I'm looking forward to further immersing myself into the greater Lehigh community."
Cresencia has coached three All-Patriot League players throughout her time at Lehigh. Under her guidance, Lehigh has also led the league in scoring the past two seasons. The Mountain Hawks also scored 106 points against La Salle last season, which marked the most points in a single-game in program history.Â
