Lehigh Earns NABC Team Academic Excellence Award, Five Student-Athletes Recognized

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) has announced its annual Team Academic Excellence Awards and the National Honors Court, which recognizes high-achieving collegiate men's basketball teams and players across the country. The Mountain Hawks earned the team award while Dominic Parolin, Jalin Sinclair, Jayshen Saigal, Keith Higgins Jr. and Tyler Whitney-Sidney were named to the Honors Court.
In order to be eligible for the NABC Team Academic Excellence Award, a program must maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher for the entirety of the 2023-24 academic school year. The NABC Honors Court recognizes junior, senior or graduate student-athletes who completed the school year with a 3.2 cumulative GPA or higher.
The Mountain Hawks finished the 2023-24 academic year with a 3.26 cumulative GPA. Lehigh finished the regular season as the sixth seed in the Patriot League, making a run all the way to the league championship game before falling to eventual champion Colgate.
Parolin, who was also an Academic All-League team member, and Saigal both earned spots on the Honors Court for the second consecutive year. Higgins and Whitney-Sidney both made the Honors Court in their first years of eligibility while Sinclair made the list after posting a 4.0 GPA in his final semester in Bethlehem.
