Nagelhout named an Academic All-Patriot League selection

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Showing excellence in the classroom, senior middle blocker Claire Nagelhout was named an Academic All-Patriot League selection on Friday afternoon, announced by the league office. With the honor, Nagelhout becomes the 11th straight Mountain Hawk to earn the award dating back to 2011.
Nagelhout joins six other Patriot League student-athletes on the elite list. In order to be eligible, the student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or higher. The team is voted on by sports information directors around the Patriot League.
The psychology major has earned a 3.78 cumulative GPA with a 4.0 GPA in four semesters including a perfect GPA in the fall. Coming into this season, Nagelhout is a three-time member of the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
Nagelhout started eight of Lehigh's nine matches in the spring 2021 season, finishing with 29 kills and 15 total blocks, both career-highs for the senior. Her best outing came at Loyola Maryland on March 21, finishing with a career-high 12 kills and five total blocks to assist the Mountain Hawks to a five-set victory over the Greyhounds on the road.
