LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Lehigh men's basketball team trimmed a 17-point first-half deficit down to eight, but Bucknell used a 16-0 second-half run to open a 62-37 advantage, and despite an 11-0 run of their own, the Mountain Hawks couldn't get any closer than 14 the rest of the way in a 92-68 defeat on Sunday at Sojka Pavilion. Junior Jeameril Wilson and sophomore Evan Taylor paced the offense with 16 and 14 points, respectively. Taylor added 10 rebounds for his third double-double in the last four games.
Wilson scored 13 of his points in the first half, knocking down 3-of-3 from 3-point range. Senior Marques Wilson, sophomore Jakob Alamudun and freshman Jalin Sinclair each scored nine points apiece.
The first half saw Bucknell jump out to an early 8-2 lead, but the Mountain Hawks scored 11 of the next 17 points, capped off by a Sinclair driving layup, to pull within 14-13 with 12:14 left in the first half.
The teams traded baskets in the ensuing minutes until the Bison staged an 18-3 run. An Andrew Funk fast break 3-pointer forced a Lehigh timeout, trailing 37-20 with 6:09 on the clock.
The Mountain Hawks answered with a 12-3 run, beginning with a Jeameril Wilson trey and ending with an Alamudun post move and finish, to pull within 40-32. Lehigh trailed 46-35 at the half.
Jeameril Wilson opened the second-half scoring, but the Bison immediately responded with 16 straight points to take a 62-37 advantage. Lehigh's biggest run came midway through the stanza, scoring 11 straight points (five from Taylor) to pull within 70-56 with 8:49 still on the clock.
However, Bucknell again answered with the next nine points to retake a 23-point lead, on the way to the 92-68 final.
For the game, the Mountain Hawks shot 32.3 percent from the field (21-of-65), including 32.0 percent from 3-point range (8-of-25). Bucknell finished at 51.5 percent (34-of-66) and 40.0 percent from long distance (10-of-25). Bucknell held a 42-34 edge in rebounds. For the second straight game, the Mountain Hawks had double-figure offensive rebounds, posting 11.
Lehigh will return to action next weekend to face archrival Lafayette, Saturday on the road (2 p.m.) and Sunday at home (4 p.m.).

The final of @jeameril_wilson's three first-half treys (on three attempts). He's definitely feeling it this afternoon.

Trailing by 25, the Mountain Hawks went on an 11-0 run, which included this @Evant2415 trey. Unfortunately, the Bison immediately responded with the next nine to reopen a 23-point margin.
