BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Patriot League announced its 2020-21 men's basketball schedule on Monday, which features 16 games with a focus on opponents within close proximity geographically – consistent with the prioritization of health and safety amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Lehigh men's basketball will face rivals Lafayette and Bucknell four times, while playing American, Colgate, Holy Cross and Loyola two times each. The Mountain Hawks will not face Army West Point, Boston University or Navy in the regular season. The schedule is subject to change.

The Patriot League Council of Presidents endorsed a league-only schedule which features a significant reduction in travel and overnight stays. No teams will be permitted to fly to games.

The schedule across the league features games on Saturday and Sunday against the same team (some weekends could be moved to Sunday and Monday to accommodate the league's partnership with CBS Sports Network). Every weekend except Holy Cross (which will be two games at Holy Cross) features opposite sites. The Mountain Hawks open their season at home on Jan. 2 vs. Lafayette before playing at Lafayette on Jan. 3. The following weekend, Lehigh hosts American on Jan. 9 then travels to American on Jan. 10.

The Mountain Hawks wrap up the regular season with weekends against Loyola and Colgate. The final weekend of February is set aside for makeup games, should any games be postponed. The Patriot League Tournament is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, Mar. 6. For the full schedule, please see below or click here.

Specific times for all contests are to be announced.

Lehigh Athletics is currently working on all the logistics for hosting home games within the University guidelines and will communicate details as they become available including radio, television and streaming options.

Lehigh returns a strong core from a team that ended last season in impressive fashion. The Mountain Hawks finished the year 6-3 over their final nine games, including wins over three of the four eventual Patriot League semifinal teams. Lehigh returns seven of its top nine scorers from a season ago, highlighted by Jeameril Wilson, who averaged 14.7 points and 7.6 rebounds over the final nine contests.
