BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh men's basketball junior Jordan Cohen has been recognized for his tremendous success, on and off the court, by being named to the 2018-19 Google Cloud Academic All-District 2 Team, as announced by CoSIDA on Thursday. Cohen is one of just two from Patriot League men's basketball to be recognized. Cohen is Lehigh's first Academic All-District honoree since Marquis Hall 10 years ago in 2009.

Cohen enjoys an impressive 3.65 GPA in finance, being named to the Dean's List in multiple semesters. Last year, he was named to the Academic All-Patriot League team, along with classmate Pat Andree.
On the court, Cohen has been just as impressive. Through 26 games, he is averaging 13.3 points per game, which includes shooting 52.7 percent from three-point range (39-of-74) – which is tops in the Patriot League and would be a league record if the season ended today. Among Cohen's highlights, he scored a career-high 32 then 33 points in consecutive games vs. Boston University and at Lafayette in January. Cohen scored 14 points in overtime along against the Leopards, scoring 21 of Lehigh's final 30 points for the game, all coming in the span of 7:58 (final 2:58 of regulation and five minutes of overtime).
Cohen went on to score 18 points at Army West Point, including the go-ahead and game-winning three-pointer with 1:28 remaining to give Lehigh the lead for good, as the Mountain Hawks erased a 19-point first-half deficit for the 75-70 win. A team co-captain, Cohen is shooting 54.3 percent from the field (seventh in the league) and 84.2 percent from the free throw line (sixth). Cohen's 3.8 assists per contest are good for sixth in the Patriot League.

Coming off a 91-81 win over Army West Point Wednesday, Cohen and the Mountain Hawks will return home for Senior Day on Sunday, Feb. 24 vs. Holy Cross at 12 p.m. It will also be CJ McCollum Day as part of Legends Weekends Presented by Coordinated Health, with McCollum's #3 being honored and displayed in the Stabler Arena rafters. Jordan Cohen absolutely TOOK OVER down the stretch at Lafayette last night. Scored 21 of Lehigh's final 30 points, all in an eight-minute stretch of game action in one of the most dominant stretches of basketball you may ever see anywhere at any level 🔥🏀🔥 pic.twitter.com/fAtcbdP5iT
