BETHLEHEM, Pa. — For her success in the classroom in addition to her production on the court as one of the Patriot League's best middle-blockers, Lehigh volleyball senior Lauren Bright has been named an Academic All-Patriot League selection for the second consecutive season, the league announced on Thursday afternoon.

In order to be eligible for the All-Academic Team, the student athlete must have a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher. The computer science major, Bright carried a cumulative 3.78 GPA, ultimately named to the seven-member team within Patriot League volleyball programs.

On the court, Bright was excellent, leading the Patriot League in attack percentage with a mark of .344 at season's end. She also finished with 109 total blocks, 91 of which were block assists and 18 were solo blocks. She finishes her career with the second-most block assists in program history at 317. Her 412 career total blocks rank sixth all-time.

With a career attack percentage of .316, Bright is officially the program record-holder in that category.

Bright joins Megan Polak, Jade Van Streepen and Amanda Clark as two-time Academic All-League recipients from Lehigh volleyball.
